Growing Your Social Capital


My first interviewee was Jonathon Morales. Mr. Morales is fulfilling the domain expert that I spoke to. Mr. Morales works for a towing service in Orlando, and agrees that around college campuses, limited parking is an issue. I found this person because he is one of my childhood friend’s older brother, so I knew about his job. The exchange I had with this person is the information he has given me to support my opportunity to create easier parking experiences. He does not want anything in return. Including Mr. Morales in my network could lead to future insight about situations regarding parking and difficulties.

The next person I interviewed was Jessica Greenberg. She is my market expert. She works for a marketing company that takes new mobile applications and tries to make them more popular. Ms. Greenberg did the marketing for the company I interned for this past summer. I had worked with her previously, and still had contact with her. A favor that she could do for me is to market my application and possibly expand it past UF. Including her in my network could enhance my ability to grow the concept as fast as possible.

The last person I spoke to was Justin Wyman. He is my supplier. The reason I contacted Mr. Wyman is because I actually am personal friends with him, and he works for a promotion company in Gainesville who actually targets the same market I do. The company reaches out via social networks to promote events and products in Gainesville. Including Mr. Wyman to my network would enhance my ability to penetrate my target market.
