Idea Napkin #2

1. Who am I?
I am a third year Business Management major from South Florida. I don’t have any specific talents that stand out immediately, but I am well rounded and can usually do most things I set my mind to. I have job experience in financial fields, in sales, and even doing physical activity. I see my idea playing a huge role in my life because I am typically one of the students who is constantly driving everywhere around campus trying to find a parking spot when I can’t.

2. What am I offering to customers?
I want to create a tracker in the parking lots/garages around campus that knows by sensor how many open parking spots are available in each. Then, there would be a mobile app that connects to the trackers and all of the students and faculty could track it.

3. Who am I offering it to?
The people I am offering this to are students and faculty at the University of Florida who drive a motorized vehicle on campus. Every person who drives knows the struggle of trying to find a spot around campus sometimes.

4. Why do they care?
It is very difficult sometimes to get a spot on UF campus, whether it be at the Norman Parking Garage, the gym, a dorm room, or any classroom. People would find it convenient to just pull out their phone and know how many spots are available at any given time.

5. What are my core competencies?
My main core competencies are my hard-working nature, creative mindset, and relentlessness. If I believe in something, I will fight for it and make sure it gets done the way I want it.

I believe that my idea and all of the elements of my plan truly mesh together well. Students would find this immensely helpful, and even if it is not necessary, it can’t hurt to just check the tracker and see where the most ideal spots are. If there is a flaw in my plan, I think it is that faculty gets different parking passes than students, so they usually have more parking available and I don’t know how useful they would find it.

For the most part, my idea napkin is generally the same. I actually received no comments on my Idea Napkin #1, so I didn't have much feedback to change my idea. All of the information about myself has stayed the same because my core competencies and general background have not changed.
